2nd Annual Family Christmas Party
December 20, 2019
St. Helena Preschool For All held its second annual family Christmas party for the 25 families involved in the preschool program at Nimbus Arts in St. Helena on Sunday, December 8th.
The morning was designed to bring the families of the St. Helena Preschool for All program closer together during the holiday season and to foster a continued sense of community within the program. The event was created in collaboration with Nimbus Arts to reflect an afternoon of holiday art projects geared toward preschool-age children, their siblings, and their families.
Nimbus Arts developed three craft activities in their Main Street studio that each family could engage in with their young children and take home at the end of the event. Kids enjoyed enriching art activities, holiday music, Christmas treats, and most importantly family memories.
Our Executive Director Julio Olguin, along with the Board of Director members Jeannie Kerr, Jennifer Lamb, and Shannon Pestoni attended the event to represent the organization and help with art activities for the families. As part of the 2020-2021 program goals, St. Helena Preschool for All plans to continue to host regular activities for the participating children and their families, building on their preschool experience in an effort to involve the entire family in enriching educational and community experiences.

September 23, 2019
We are excited to announce two new board directors who were voted in on September 9, 2019. She is very passionate about families getting the education and tools to help their children become successful. Angelica Palma is a parent of two children Valeria 8, and Leonardo 5 . Leonardo was part of SHPFA last year and attended Wee Care Childcare where he was a happy and successful student. Our organization is committed to having representation from our St. Helena Primary School, St. Helena Unified School District, families who are currently in the program, and former alumni families. We believe that our parents bring a unique and valuable perspective that is critical to the continued improvement of our program. We also believe that we are helping empower our current and former parents to take more of an active leadership role in the community.

The majority of students could not swim and had never taken swim lessons before, their parents were very excited about the progress made with the amazing swim instructors and will continue to enroll their children through the summer. We will continue to provide this opportunity to our families free of costs all thanks to the generous funding that was provided by the Roger J. Trinchero Family Foundation.
A Continued Partnership
June 19, 2019
It is with tremendous appreciation that we recognize the St. Helena Unified School District in its continued commitment to early childhood education for all children in our community. The District has been a vital partner in the growth and stability of our organization and recently has given a generous donation to cover half the cost of tuition for the 2018-2019 preschool year. We are truly grateful to have them as a partner as we continue to prepare and educate our preschool families for the transition into our public schools. We truly believe that, both the child and parents who have been a part of our program have the tools, experience, and knowledge to be successful in the future.
